OPI, Essie, and Seche Vite

I confess: I'm a nail polish fiend! While I don't favor any specific brand over another, I decided it was time to try out OPI and Essie nail polishes for the first time. I own several Nicole by OPI nail polishes, but nothing from the regular OPI collection. So I thought it'd be nice to try just a couple and (as usual) "just a couple" turned out to be six.

Birthday Outfits and Festivities (January 22, 2011)

Hi loves,

So it's official: my teen years are over. My birthday was on the 22nd and while I'm happy I at least got to spend it with my entire immediate family for once, I must admit I was a little pretty disappointed nothing went as planned. I was looking forward to going to Hollywood for a day of shopping and enjoying L.A.'s famous eateries like Pink's Hot Dogs, Millions of Milkshakes, Sprinkles, Roscoe's, etc. Unfortunately, the trip to Hollywood was a no-go for a bunch of reasons I don't even want to get into because I get mad just thinking about it.

The only things that went as I wanted them to were my outfits, haha. Here they are:

Daytime

Blazer: H&M
Tank top: Cotton On
Leggings: Cotton On
Scarf: thrifted
Heeled ankle boots: Forever 21
Purse: vintage Dooney & Bourke from my mom's closet

Nighttime

Blazer: H&M (same one I wore during the day)
Skirt: H&M
Lace top: Cotton On
Heels: Bakers
Purse: Not pictured, but it was a black leather Coach bag
